Making your powder room pop may not seem like a high priority, but in some cases, this little room is right in the line of sight from your living and entry spaces. This lush powder room in particular, designed by Joe I. Human of designs by human, Inc., sat right in view from the entry of this Hudson River View unit. “I wanted it to make a statement so I designed this custom floral in a modern colorway and put it on the non-tiled walls and ceilings,” says Human.

Media event for New York Design Month. We were tasked with creating a full apartment centered around home services: including catering, wallcoverings, home organization, decor, floral and of course interior design. Seen here is some outtakes from our TV segments on how to style your room and mix and match pillows in a space.
The books are another good example. “Their book collection is honestly one of my favorite things” about the entire space, Human says. “In so many projects, I get to curate book collections for clients. But I was so happy to see the existing collection here.” All it took was a little reorganizing. While the books were “literally overflowing in the space when we got there,” they now look nice and orderly thanks to another bookshelf made to house the books.
